Uttarakhand: ITDA will increase institutional memory, Chief Secretary directed the officials

There is a possibility of cyber attack in the country amid India-Pakistan tension. Due to which the Uttarakhand government has instructed the IT department to remain on high alert at all times. In this sequence, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan held a meeting with the Information Technology Department in the Secretariat. During the meeting, Secretary ITDA gave detailed information about the projects and programs going on across the state. The Chief Secretary gave instructions to strengthen the ITDA. Also, while upgrading the system, instructions were given to make arrangements as per the requirement of the next 5-7 years.
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan said that ITDA should adopt hybrid model (SDC and cloud) and continuously increase its capacity. Along with strengthening ITDA, all departments should get the work of developing their websites and applications done through ITDA. He said that cloud service should also be made available to the departments through ITDA. The Chief Secretary said that such departments, which have to store a lot of data for their daily work, should give information about the storage requirement to ITDA, so that ITDA can calculate that storage capacity.
Along with this, CS also asked ITDA to increase its institutional memory. Because due to the presence of institutional memory, the system will not shut down after the departure of any expert. At the same time, ITDA Director Gaurav Kumar said that ITDA (Information Technology Development Agency, ITDA Dehradun) has established SDC in the year 2018. SDC 2.0 will be ready soon. Which will increase the data storage capacity of ITDA. He said that all the districts and block headquarters of the state are 100 percent connected to the SWAN network.
Also, 2036 offices are connected to the SWAN network. The system is being continuously upgraded in the field of cyber security. In-house software development work is also being done by ITDA. UCC, PM Gatishakti Uttarakhand, Chardham Dashboard, CM Helpline, E-Office and Aapuni Sarkar Portal are being prepared and operated by ITDA.
