Uttarakhand: S.S. Jeena University’s Champawat campus will be developed as a Center for Excellence, Rs 5 crore released

Various construction works will now be expedited in the Champawat campus of Soban Singh Jeena University. The state government has given an amount of Rs 5 crore to the university as the first installment for this. With this amount released by the government, the central library, boundary wall will be constructed in the university campus. Apart from this, a mini sports stadium will also be built in the campus.
5 crores released for Champawat campus of Soban Singh Jeena University
The state government is continuously making efforts for qualitative improvement in higher educational institutions and their units. In this episode, the government has released an amount of Rs 5 crore as the first installment out of the amount of Rs 10 crore approved under the creation of capital assets in the financial year 2025-26 for various construction works of the Champawat campus of Soban Singh Jeena University.
Construction work of central library and boundary wall will be expedited
A modern central library will be built in the Champawat campus of the university with the amount released by the government. In which all the facilities will be provided for the students to study. Apart from this, a mini sports stadium will also be built to promote sports in the campus, which will be developed as per sports standards. In which there will also be facilities for indoor and outdoor games. Along with this, the boundary wall of the campus will also be constructed.
The university will be developed as a Center for Excellence: Minister
Bridkul has been nominated as the implementing agency for construction work in the university campus. Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has instructed the university administration and the officials of the implementing agency not to show any kind of negligence in the construction work. The minister said that Champawat CAMSS of Soban Singh Jeena University will be developed as a Center for Excellence, so that the youth of the border area can get quality education in the university campus itself.
