Hamas commander Mohammad Sinwar and his brother killed in Israeli attack, bodies found lying in the tunnel

Hamas’s new commander killed last week

According to media reports, Hamas’ self-proclaimed commander Mohammad Sinwar was killed in the rapid air strikes carried out by the Israeli army last week. Media reports have claimed that his body was recovered from a tunnel in Khan Younis. Mohammad was the brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by the Israeli army in October last year. The media report also said that Yahya’s another brother Zakaria Sinwar was also killed in Israeli attacks on Saturday night.

Reports claim that Muhammad Sinwar was killed in an attack on the European Hospital on Tuesday night. It is believed that there was a tunnel under the hospital, which was being used as a commander compound and Mohammad Sinwar was living there. Hamas’s Health Ministry claimed that 16 people were killed and 70 people were injured in this attack. However, Mohammad Sinwar was not mentioned in it.

According to Saudi Arabia’s channel Al-Hadath, Mohammad Sinwar’s body has been recently recovered along with his 10 other colleagues. The report also claims that there is evidence of Hamas’s Rafah Brigade commander Mohammad Shabana also being killed in this attack.

According to The Times of Israel, Israel has not confirmed the death of Mohammad Sinwar or Shabana, but Defense Minister Israel Katz told the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Sunday that he believed Mohammad Sinwar was killed in the attack on the tunnel. Mohammad Sinwar became the commander of Hamas after his brother Yahya was killed.

On the other hand, Khalil al-Dikran of Gaza’s Health Ministry said that more than 130 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza. Entire families have been wiped out in these attacks. More than 48 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Khan Younis. These include 18 children and 13 women. Nine people have been killed in attacks on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
