Uttarakhand: 5 Bangladeshi citizens caught from Dehradun, had reached India without visa-passport, big revelations made during investigation

5 Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested from Clementtown in the capital Dehradun. Police conducted this raid based on secret information. Police have detained an Indian woman and a minor along with five Bangladeshi nationals. All these people were living in India without valid documents.
5 Bangladeshi nationals arrested from Dehradun
After receiving confidential information, Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh formed a joint team and started investigation of outsiders living illegally in the area. In this sequence, the team raided Lane Number 11, Post Office Road, Clementtown and arrested five Bangladeshi nationals. During interrogation, all the Bangladeshi nationals could not show valid passports or visas to the police.
Details of the accused
The arrested accused have been identified as Nirmal Rai (35), Shem Rai (33), Lipi Rai (27), Krishna alias Santosh (28), Munir Chandra Rai (30), Pooja Rani (28). According to the police, two fake Aadhaar cards of Bihar and West Bengal have also been recovered from Munir Chandra Rai. While Krishna alias Santosh and Nirmal Rai have been found carrying Bangladesh IDs.
Four Bangladeshi minors sent under police protection
According to the police, an Indian woman, Pooja Rani, who is Munir’s wife, and her son were also living at this hideout. The police have arrested Pooja on charges of illegally helping Bangladeshi citizens. Also, four Bangladeshi minor children have been sent under police protection. The police have registered a case against all of them. All these people used to work as laborers in Dehradun.
The accused came to India from Radhikapur border
Munir told during interrogation that he came to India from Radhikapur border at the age of 16. First he worked in Noida, then Rajasthan and Faridabad. In 2016, he got married to Pooja, who was already a mother of two children. According to Munir, different agents and contractors had helped him several times to enter India. Some time ago, Munir also worked in Dehradun’s Cancer Hospital.
