An emotional incident came to light on Sunday during the pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham. An eight-year-old boy Kanha, who had come from Madhya Pradesh, got separated from his maternal grandparents on the way. The police found him in time and handed him over to his family safely.

According to the police, Kanha, son of Prakash Chauhan, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, had come to Kedarnath Dham with his maternal grandfather Indra Singh and maternal grandmother. When the family was on the pilgrimage on foot, the boy got separated from his family due to heavy crowd at Meethapani above Junglechatti. When Yashpal Singh, in-charge of Bhimbali Chowki and his team got this information, they brought the boy to Bhimbali Chowki for safety.

The police reunited him with his family safely

The police team started the search for the family by making announcements and interrogating the pilgrims. Meanwhile, Kanha’s maternal grandfather went downhill from Jangalchatti in search of the child. He stopped at a shop and started showing people his grandson’s picture on his mobile. A traveler recognized the child and told that he was at Bhimbali Chowki. After this, Indra Singh immediately reached the Chowki, where he found his grandson safe. He became emotional and thanked the police.
