BJP’s Kedarnath MLA Asha Nautiyal has strongly countered the Congress party for continuously raising questions about the Ankita Bhandari murder case. Asha Nautiyal reminded the Congress of their rule and said that the Congress party should not forget how fearlessly the criminals used to roam during their time and how serious negligence was there regarding the safety of women.
Criminals sent to jail within 24 hours: MLA
Asha Nautiyal said that after the Ankita Bhandari murder case, the criminals were sent to jail within 24 hours. Even today, all of them are behind the bars of the jail. The government showed promptness and formed an SIT team under the chairmanship of female IPS officer P Renuka Devi. Due to which the criminals could not get bail. Nautiyal said that the accused have been punished for their crimes.
Action taken against criminals under Gangster Act
Asha Nautiyal said that action was taken against the criminals under the Gangster Act. The Dhami government took strict action against the criminals. At the same time, financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh was also given to the victim family of Ankita Bhandari. The government also assured that the government will do everything possible to punish the criminals for their crimes.
Accused Congress of doing politics
Nautiyal said sarcastically that some so-called social activists and Congress are trying to make political gains on this sensitive issue, while the truth is that every time the bail application of the criminals was rejected due to the strong advocacy of government lawyers, which proves that the government did not show any leniency at any level.
Congress should investigate the cases that happened during its rule: MLA
Kedarnath MLA Asha Nautiyal bluntly said that before raising questions on others, the Congress party should also investigate the cases that happened during its rule, so that they can understand what strict action is and how to show sensitivity towards the victims.
