Sports competitions will be organized on the lines of National Games on World Olympic Day, outline will be prepared in 48 hours

The Uttarakhand government wants to organize sports competitions on the lines of the National Games on World Olympic Day. In view of this, the Sports Department has intensified its preparations. In fact, on Tuesday, Sports Minister Rekha Arya held a meeting with the officials of the Sports Department and Olympic Association officials. During the meeting, the minister asked the Sports Department to organize programs in collaboration with the Olympic Association to inspire the youth of the state towards Olympic sports. Also, the departmental officials were instructed that which sports competitions can be organized at the district and state level? Prepare its outline in the next two days.

After the meeting concluded, Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that a discussion has been held regarding organizing programs on the occasion of World Olympic Day on June 23. Along with organizing sports competitions, the outline of organizing programs in all the districts of the state has been discussed. Also, which competitions will be organized in which districts, what will be the arrangement for open entry, what will be the process of registration of children, which players from the national and international players of the state will be invited on the closing day, and other important topics have been discussed.

He also said that during the meeting, the officials have been instructed to prepare the final outline of all these points and organize competitions on the lines of the National Games. In such a situation, in the upcoming second meeting, decisions and conclusions will be reached regarding the programs to be organized related to World Olympic Day. The Sports Minister said that the objective of the government is to make the Olympic Day historic. Also, the spirit of sports has to be awakened from children to the elderly at the Nyaya Panchayat level. In such a situation, emphasis is being laid on making the upcoming Olympic Day a day of public awareness.
