Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Congress raised voice against the increasing danger from dilapidated trees, gheraoed the DFO office

The Metropolitan Congress Committee took to the streets today over the ever-increasing danger from dilapidated trees in Dehradun city. Congress leaders gheraoed the DFO office and staged a strong protest. On this occasion, Metropolitan Congress President Jaswinder Singh Gogi made a serious allegation of negligence on the Forest Department.

Gogi said that there are many trees standing on the roadside in Dehradun which have become completely dilapidated. Their condition is such that they can fall anytime and cause a major accident. Let us tell you that recently during the rain and strong storm in Premnagar, Rajpur Road and other areas, many trees collapsed, due to which three people also lost their lives. Despite this, the Forest Department has not woken up yet.

Memorandum submitted to DFO

Gogi said that we have come here today not to visit the DFO office but to warn them. If the department does not wake up, the Congress will protest from the road to the House. During the protest, Congress workers raised slogans and submitted a memorandum to the DFO. In the memorandum, it has been demanded that the dilapidated trees in the city should be identified and the process of removing them should be started immediately.
