c
About 10 years ago, the case of theft of the buffalo of the then cabinet minister of Uttar Pradesh, Azam Khan, made headlines in the country and the world. Then the Rampur police raided various places in search of the buffalo. A similar case has come to light in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. However, the buffaloes of any cabinet minister of Uttarakhand have not been lost here, but the buffaloes of an animal keeper have been stolen.
8 buffaloes stolen in Haldwani
A strange case of theft has come to light in the city police station. Eight buffaloes of a cattle keeper who had gone to graze in the forest have been stolen. Haldwani Kotwali police has registered a case on the complaint of the cattle keeper. On the plea of the aggrieved cattle keeper, the police have started searching for the 8 stolen buffaloes and the accused. The cattle keeper has registered a case against four people in the case. The cattle keeper alleges that he did not sell the buffaloes at the price quoted by an accused. That is why they were stolen.
Animal breeder suspects them
According to the police, Prem Singh Bisht, resident of Jhutiyal Khatta, Tanda Haldwani, has given a complaint to Haldwani Kotwali police. He said in the complaint that he is a cattle breeder by profession. He had 17 buffaloes. He alleged that-
In February this year, I had made a deal for 6 buffaloes with Yusuf, resident of Gadarpur, for ₹300,000. But the deal was cancelled because Yusuf had put less money on the buffaloes. After this, on March 7, I left all my 17 buffaloes in the forest away from home for grazing. In the evening, only nine buffaloes came home from the forest. Even after a lot of searching, no trace of 8 buffaloes was found. I suspect Yusuf of stealing the buffaloes. Karim and Akram seem to be in collusion with him.

When the deal did not work out, they stole 8 buffaloes
Cattle keeper Prem Singh Bisht alleged that when he complained to the police about the missing buffaloes, Karim, a resident of Tanda, and Akram, a resident of Nahar Khatta, came to his house. Both of them started pressuring him to compromise. On this, the cattle keeper suspected that Karim and Akram, along with Yusuf and another person, had stolen his buffaloes from the forest.
