Uttarakhand: Medical Service Selection Board released the result, Health Department got 220 new doctors

Uttarakhand Health Department has got 220 new doctors. The results of the Medical Officer Recruitment Examination have been declared by the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board. The selected doctors will soon be posted in remote areas of hilly districts. This will strengthen the health facilities of the state.

The Health Department had sent a requisition of 276 vacant posts of Medical Officer backlog under PMHS cadre to the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board. In this episode, the board issued approval to fill the vacant posts on 27 February 2025. After this, interviews were held from 7 to 20. After this process, the board released the final selection list of 220 candidates, but due to non-availability of eligible candidates in some reserved categories, the posts were postponed.

Uttarakhand Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat issued a statement saying that the Medical Service Selection Board has declared the examination results for 220 posts of medical officers of the backlog. All these doctors will soon be posted in hilly and remote area hospitals under the Health Department. This will increase the health facilities there.
