Russia fired more than 400 drones and more than 40 missiles on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and major cities last night. This attack happened a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to US President Donald Trump over the phone.
4 Ukrainians have died in these attacks, while more than 50 are injured. Amid Russia’s attack, an airstrike warning has been issued in all Ukrainian regions.
Ukraine’s Air Force said that Russia’s Tu-95MS bomber aircraft fired cruise missiles. There have been reports of explosions from Kyiv, Ternopil, Khmelnitsky, Lviv and Lutsk in Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump spoke with Russian President Putin on June 4 for about 75 minutes on the issue of Ukraine and Iran. Trump had told that Putin said that he would take revenge for the recent drone attack by Ukraine inside Russia.
Ukraine carried out a drone attack on Russia’s airbase on June 1. In these attacks, 41 aircraft present at 5 airbases of Russia were targeted. Ukraine named this operation ‘Spider Web’.
Many residential buildings were damaged in Russian attacks
According to Ukrainian media, drone attacks in Kiev caused fires in many places. Due to which at least 4 people were killed and 20 were injured, out of which 16 were hospitalized. Many residential buildings, petrol pumps, educational institutions and metro lines have also been damaged in the attack.
Due to the attack, tracks and cables on the metro line between Darnytsia and Livoberezhna stations in Ukraine were damaged, due to which the way was closed. The administration said that the repair work is expected to be completed in 24 hours.
Ukraine had carried out drone attacks on 5 airbases of Russia
Ukraine targeted 5 military airbases of Russia on June 1. These were FPV (First-Person-View) drones. These 117 drones targeted strategic bombers like A-50, TU-95 and TU-22 stationed at Russian airbases. Ukraine named this entire operation ‘Spider Web’.
Many Russian aircraft were damaged in this attack. According to a source in Ukraine’s SBU Security Service, 41 aircraft present at 5 airbases of Russia were targeted in these attacks. This included TU-95 and TU-22 strategic bomber aircraft, A-50 radar detection and command aircraft.
