MS Dhoni got a big honor, inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame

Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni), one of the most loved stars of Indian cricket, has now become a part of the ICC Hall of Fame. He was awarded this special honor on Monday, June 9, 2025. With which he became the 11th Indian player to be included in the Hall of Fame.

MS Dhoni joins ICC Hall of Fame

Dhoni is currently 43 years old. In his 15-year international career, he has achieved a position that can only be imagined. He played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20 International matches and scored more than 17,000 runs in total.

The biggest thing is that he is the only captain in the world to win all three limited overs trophies of ICC. T20 World Cup in 2007, ODI World Cup in 2011 and Champions Trophy in 2013. Every time the command of Team India was in the hands of Mahi. Under his captaincy, India became number 1 in the Test rankings and also won the Test mess many times.

Dhoni expressed his feelings after being included in the Hall of Fame. He said, “It is an honor to be named in the ICC Hall of Fame, which recognizes the contribution of generations and cricketers around the world. It is an amazing experience to have my name remembered along with such great players. This is something I will always cherish.”

Dhoni’s international journey

  • Dhoni made his ODI debut against Bangladesh on 23 December 2004. After this he never looked back.
  • 10,773 runs in 297 innings in ODIs, 4,876 runs in 90 matches in Tests, and 1,617 runs in T20s. These figures tell the story of Dhoni, not just scores.
  • After retiring from Tests in 2014, he said goodbye to international cricket on 15 August 2020. But his magic in IPL still continues.
