The District Magistrate is constantly making efforts for the prompt disposal of the complaints received in the public hearing. Strict action is also being taken against the officers who are becoming an obstacle in this intention. In this sequence, District Magistrate Savin Bansal issued an order to stop the salary of RTO, ARTO and Executive Engineer (EE) of PWD for being absent in resolving the complaints.
In the public hearing held in the Collectorate auditorium on Monday, Divyang woman Anjana Malik lodged a complaint that her bus pass is not being renewed. Due to which she is facing difficulty in traveling. Similarly, a group of senior citizens lodged a complaint that the bus drivers stop the bus anywhere. Rules are not being followed and the officials of the Transport Department are not able to curb arbitrariness.
When the District Magistrate questioned the officials of the Transport Department regarding both the complaints, it was found that the RTO and ARTO were absent without permission. Taking it seriously, the District Magistrate summoned the reply of both the officers and ordered to stop their salary. Similarly, in a case related to PWD, the Executive Engineer of PWD Provincial Section was found absent. The District Magistrate also issued an order to stop his salary.
Gave a strict warning
District Magistrate Bansal said in strong words that negligence in resolving public complaints will not be tolerated. Officers cannot escape from their responsibility by making any kind of excuse. A total of 118 complaints were registered in the public hearing. Most of them were resolved on the spot. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Administration Jai Bharat Singh, Superintendent of Police Jaya Baluni, Sub-District Magistrate Hargiri, Apoorva Singh, Director DRDA Vikram Singh etc. were present.
Prepare a plan to remove encroachment on government land
District Magistrate Savin Bansal directed the Additional District Magistrate to prepare a plan to remove the encroachment being done on government land. In this sequence, strict action should be implemented after getting acquainted with the ground situation.
Presence of SDM and Tehsildar of Vikasnagar is mandatory
The District Magistrate found that the maximum complaints of land fraud are being received from Vikasnagar area. In view of this situation, he asked the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vikasnagar and the Tehsildar to be compulsorily present in every public hearing.
A widow woman was given possession
A woman resident of village Kunja in Vikasnagar area lodged a complaint that her husband had died. Some persons had occupied her ancestral land. She is wandering from door to door with her two daughters to get the possession released. The District Magistrate took immediate action and got the land back to the victim woman through the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vikasnagar and the police force.
The District Magistrate also gave these directions
- Gave one week’s time to remove the road construction debris thrown on the farm of Kailash Kukreti, resident of Upper Talai.
- Gave instructions for distribution of compensation to the Lakhwad Dam affected people.
