Uttarakhand: Minor was lured into sexual relations, given medicine when she became pregnant, her health suddenly deteriorated
A shameful case has come to light from Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun. A case of raping a minor and forcing her to have an abortion has come to light. After receiving the complaint, the police have arrested the accused.

The police had received information from Doon Hospital that a minor girl has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition. Her abortion has been done. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the SSP ordered an immediate investigation. The investigation revealed that the victim lives with her elder sister near the Durga temple in Brahmanwala area. A youth living in the same area, Kaif son of Shahjad, resident of Brahmapuri, kept raping the victim several times by luring her, due to which the minor became pregnant.
Abortion medicine was given without doctor’s advice
The accused gave abortion medicine to the victim, who was about four months pregnant, without any medical advice. Due to the effect of the medicine, the condition of the teenager suddenly deteriorated on the night of June 9. After which the family took her to Doon Hospital with the help of an ambulance. The condition of the teenager is said to be critical. The police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him.
