Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government has taken a remarkable step by giving priority to transparency, efficiency and digital empowerment in government work. On the initiative of Chief Minister Sai, the State Finance Department and Pension Directorate have ensured digital availability of electronic pension payment order (ePPO) and other important documents through the DigiLocker platform. This initiative is being considered a historic achievement towards the digitization resolution of the state government.

About 3.61 lakh government employees and 1.50 lakh pensioners of the state can now access important documents like their GPF statement, final payment order, pension certificate and pension payment order through DigiLocker from anywhere, anytime, in a safe and authentic form. This facility will eliminate dependence on physical copies of documents and will also provide relief from unnecessary rounds of offices, thereby saving time and resources.

Chief Minister Sai praised the technical efficiency of the Pension Directorate, the hard work done in digitization of documents and the coordination done with the DigiLocker platform for the successful implementation of this innovative initiative. This step is not only making the administrative system more efficient, but is also increasing trust and satisfaction among the citizens.

This initiative has emerged as an example from Chhattisgarh in line with the spirit of the Government of India’s Digital India Mission. This initiative of Chief Minister Sai is directly benefiting pensioners, employees and the administration.
