Uttarakhand / Pauri: Police crackdown on hooligans, challans issued to those behaving indecently at religious places

Pauri police has taught a lesson to the hooligans under Operation Lagaam. Police has issued challans to the youths who behaved indecently at religious places.

Under the direction of Pauri SSP Lokeshwar Singh, the police is conducting checking campaigns in the area. In this sequence, the police team has issued challans to 32 people who created a ruckus after consuming alcohol at public, religious and tourist places like Kotdwar, Pauri, Srinagar and Lakshmanjhula.

Police action will continue

According to the police, 9 youths from Kotdwar, 3 from Pauri, 7 from Srinagar and 13 from Lakshmanjhula were involved in this. All the youths were creating a ruckus after consuming alcohol. Police has arrested all the youths and strict challan action will continue against them as per the rules under Operation Lagaam.
