‘Just like I got India-Pakistan agreement done, I got Israel-Iran agreement done too…’, Trump said on the conflict

US President Donald Trump on Sunday claimed that he can bring peace between Israel and Iran just like he did between India and Pakistan. Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Iran and Israel should compromise and they will, just like I convinced India and Pakistan to compromise. At that time I brought understanding, unity and balance in the talks by using America’s trade. Both the best leaders stopped the conflict by taking quick decisions.”

Amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, Trump said that he is engaged in talks and is talking and meeting on the phone through the back door. He said, “Soon there will be peace between Israel and Iran! There are many conversations and meetings going on on the phone right now.”

In his social media post, President Trump also mentioned other international conflicts and claimed that he had intervened in them. He said, “During my first term, the decades-long conflict in Serbia and Kosova was at its peak and this long-running conflict was ready to turn into a war. I stopped it.” He alleged that former President Joe Biden made some very foolish decisions that harmed long-term prospects.

He also gave the example of tension between Egypt and Ethiopia over the dam on the Nile River. He said, ‘Peace has been maintained till now because of my intervention and it will remain so!’ Israel’s air strikes have increased and the number of casualties in Iran and Israel is increasing. However, Trump said that peace is possible. He said, ‘I do a lot, but I am never praised, still it is okay, people understand. Make the Middle East (West Asia) great again!
