Aryan Company’s helicopter coming to Guptkashi from Kedarnath Dham crashed after hitting a tree in Gaurikhark near Gaurikund, it caught fire as soon as it crashed. Seven people including the pilot and a three-year-old girl died in this incident.
The information about this incident came to light after about 30 minutes, when the helicopter did not return. Women cutting grass in the forest made a video of the accident. On receiving the information, the rescue team reached the spot and removed the bodies. This is the third incident of helicopter crash in this travel season.
On Sunday morning, Aryan Heli Company’s helicopter took off from Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi at 5:21 am. It is being told that there was dense fog at this time, however, helicopters of other heli companies were also flying, which reached safely. Helicopter collided with a tree on the hill
It is being told that suddenly fog came over Gaurikund and visibility became zero, the pilot turned the helicopter from Gaurikund towards Triyuginarayan and it collided with a tree on the hill. This is Gaurikhark, about five km above Gaurikund, where this accident happened.
When the helicopter did not return at 6.15 minutes, the search began. Meanwhile, the administration also became alert. A woman of Nepali origin was cutting grass near Gaurikhark. She saw smoke coming from the accident site. She went to the spot and made a video of this incident and posted it on social media. Due to which this incident spread like fire in the entire area.
On receiving information about the accident, six teams of SDRF, eight teams of NDRF and 22 policemen along with DDRF reached the spot. Where they removed the bodies and sent them to the district hospital for post-mortem. Most of the bodies were badly burnt.
District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that due to bad weather above Gaurikund, the pilot turned the helicopter towards Triyuginarayan and the helicopter collided with a tree. This accident happened. Seven people including the pilot and a three-year-old girl died in this accident. At the time of the accident, the helicopter was located at a height of about thirty feet from the ground. Due to being at a low height, it collided with the tree. Pilot Rajveer Singh Chauhan was serving in the Kedarnath helicopter service for the first time in this travel season. The pilot was retired from the army and had 26 hundred hours of flying experience.
