Uttarakhand: BKTC member dies in Gaurikund helicopter crash, Satpal Maharaj and BKTC call it unfortunate, talk of getting it investigated

State Tourism, Religious Affairs and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj described the helicopter accident while returning from Kedarnath to Guptkashi as extremely worrying and unfortunate. He also expressed deep condolences and grief to all the deceased. He said that the government will investigate this accident. Let us tell you that 7 people including the pilot have died in this helicopter accident that happened this morning. BKTC employee Vikram Rawat is also among the dead.

At the same time, Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Hemant Dwivedi has also expressed grief over the accident. He said that steps are being taken at the government level to prevent recurrence of such incidents.

Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj expressed deep condolences and grief to all the deceased on the helicopter accident while returning from Kedarnath to Guptkashi on Sunday morning. He said that as soon as the information was received, NDRF, SDRF, police and local people were engaged in rescue on the spot. He said that prima facie the cause of the accident was bad weather, but the government will investigate it and find out the causes of the accident. Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Hemant Dwivedi, BKTC Vice President Rishi Prasad Sati and BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal have also expressed grief over the accident.

Pauri Garhwal Lok Sabha MP Anil Baluni has also expressed grief over the helicopter accident. He wrote on his social media handle that he prays to Baba Kedarnath to give place to the souls of those who died in the accident in his feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this unbearable pain. Let us tell you that seven people have died in the helicopter accident.
