According to the information received so far, one person died due to being hit by debris and stones. While two people are reported to be injured. As a precaution, the administration has suspended the pilgrimage from Sonprayag to Kedarnath till further orders. Let us tell you that after the bad weather and the helicopter crash in Kedarnath, the heli service has also been banned.

Passengers stranded in landslide affected areas are being sent away

Due to obstruction in Jangalchatti and many places on the entire walking route being landslide affected, as a precautionary measure and for the safety of pilgrims, the pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham has been suspended from Sonprayag till further orders. Only in the Jangalchatti area, passengers stranded in the landslide affected area are being sent down under police protection. The police has appealed to the pilgrims visiting Kedarnath Dham to stay safe wherever they are and stay in nearby hotels. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain for the coming week.
