Inflation bomb exploded, petrol and diesel became so expensive from today

The effect of the ongoing war between Iran and Israel is being seen in other countries as well. The effect of the war is clearly visible on the stock markets and crude oil prices around the world. The crisis in neighboring country Pakistan is deepening due to the continuous rise in crude oil prices. The Pakistan government has suddenly decided to increase the prices of petrol and high speed diesel. The new prices have been implemented from today. This has caused resentment and uproar among the general public. People are troubled by the rising inflation and are very angry with this decision of the government.

Petrol as well as diesel prices increased
The Iran-Israel conflict has brought a new problem for the people of Pakistan, who are already facing economic crisis. Due to the continuous increase in crude oil prices, the Pakistan government put a big burden on the public on Sunday night and increased the prices of petrol as well as diesel. The Pakistani Finance Department issued a notification and said that the price of high speed diesel has been increased by Rs 7.95 and the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 4.80 per liter. This decision has been implemented with immediate effect.

Inflation will increase in Pakistan
Pakistani media Dawn.com has published the news quoting the government notification. It has been told in the news that the new prices of petrol and high-speed diesel have been fixed on the basis of the recommendations of Ogra and the concerned ministries. The new rates have come into effect from June 16, 2025. Now the price of high-speed diesel in Pakistan has increased from Rs 254.64 per liter to Rs 262.59. Whereas, the price of petrol has increased from Rs 253.63 per liter to Rs 258.43. This decision has been taken by the Pakistani government due to rising international oil prices due to the Iran-Israel war. This is expected to increase inflation further.
