Uttar Pradesh: Here the dead ‘appear’ on earth to take pension, every month 1697 were sent to the bank from the other world

A strange case has come to light from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. Those who have died were also coming to earth from the other world to take pension. When the matter came to light, there was a stir. When the verification was done in a hurry, even the officers were baffled. The whole incident will surprise you too. It happened that in the verification done by the Social Welfare Department in Bulandshahr district, it came to light that 1697 such beneficiaries are taking pension, who are no longer in this world. In this way, a big fraud was caught in the pension scheme being given by the Social Welfare Department in Bulandshahr district.

Recovery started immediately

The investigation of the department revealed that a total of 1697 deceased persons were taking advantage of the pension till now. Not only this, 12 more people were found ineligible, who were receiving pension against the rules. After investigation and verification of this matter, District Social Welfare Officer Ranjana Singh has taken immediate action and started recovery of pension from a total of 1709 people. Social Welfare Officer Ranjana Singh said that we had sent the data of all the beneficiaries for verification. In the investigation, the names of 1697 dead people were found in the pension list. We have started the recovery process immediately and strict monitoring will be done in future as well.

Crackdown every three months

A total of 52,300 beneficiaries were getting pension in Bulandshahr district, out of which these 1709 names were found to be fake. According to the department, verification of beneficiaries is done once every three months so that such irregularities can be curbed. Giving information about the whole matter, Bulandshahr CDO Nisha Grewal said that verification is done continuously by the Social Welfare. In the same sequence, recovery is being done from those who have been found dead and ineligible.
