Uttarakhand: Chief Electoral Officer inspected the warehouse and gave these instructions

Chief Electoral Officer Dr. BVR Purushottam reached the warehouse in Haridwar on Tuesday and did a quarterly inspection. During this, he also reviewed the security arrangements around the warehouse premises.

The Chief Electoral Officer thoroughly inspected the BU, CU, VVPAT kept in double lock under the surveillance of CCTV cameras in the warehouse along with the representatives of political parties. He also reviewed the security arrangements of the warehouse.

Instructions given to replace fire extinguishers
The Chief Electoral Officer expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements of EVMs and instructed that the fire extinguishers be replaced before they expire. In view of the rains, he took detailed information on protecting EVMs from dampness and various topics and gave important guidelines.

CCTV control room was also inspected
During the inspection, the Chief Electoral Officer took a detailed look at the CCTV control room, EVM and VVPAT room, visitor register, police inspection register, power supply, fire fighting equipment, deployment of police personnel, security arrangements around the warehouse premises.
