Uttarakhand: Appointment letters handed over to 562 Anganwadi workers and assistants in Almora, minister said this is an opportunity to serve

Taking another strong step towards women empowerment in Uttarakhand, the state’s Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya distributed appointment letters to selected Anganwadi workers and assistants in Almora on Wednesday.

Recruitment of Anganwadi workers and assistants done in online mode
During the program, Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya said that the post of Anganwadi worker is not just employment, but a big opportunity for service. When women come in this role, they give a strong base to the society. The minister said that for the first time in the state, Anganwadi workers and assistants have been recruited in online mode. The minister said that the entire process was completed in just 3 months.

Appointment letters handed over to 562 Anganwadi workers and assistants in Almora
6330 Anganwadi assistants and 722 workers have been recruited by the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department. Out of these, 562 appointments have been made only in Almora, which includes 50 workers and 512 assistants. The minister directed the officials to expedite the process of filling the remaining 800 plus vacancies in Almora.
