Releasing an official press note, the family of businessman Sanjay Kapoor said that his last rites will be performed today i.e. on June 19 at Lodhi Road crematorium in Delhi. The process of his last rites will start at 5 pm. At present, Sanjay Kapoor’s relatives are slowly reaching his house.
Along with the messages written by Sanjay Kapoor’s third wife Priya Sachdev, mother Rani Surinder Kapoor and children Samaira and Kian, his family told in the press note that three days after the last rites on the 19th, i.e. on June 22 between 4 and 5 pm, a prayer meet will be held for Sanjay’s soul at Taj Hotel Palace in Delhi.
Why was there a delay in Sanjay Kapoor’s last rites?
According to a news from NDTV, Sanjay Kapoor’s father-in-law Ashok Sachdev said that due to Sanjay’s American citizenship, there is a delay in performing his last rites due to post-mortem and legal procedures there. The father-in-law said, “The post-mortem is going on right now. As soon as the paper work is completed, the body will be taken to India immediately and the last rites will be performed”.
