What does hypersonic mean?
Generally, the word hypersonic is used for those weapons which enter the earth’s atmosphere at a very high speed. Their speed is so much that it is very difficult to stop them.
Let us tell you that hypersonic missiles can move at a speed of Mach-5, about 6100 km/hr. This is about five times faster than the speed of sound. According to Iran, the Fatah-1 missile can target at a speed of Mach 15, about 18000 km/hr.

According to experts, only America and China have made new generation hypersonic missiles. But both the countries have never used them in war. Countries like Russia, North Korea and Pakistan have tested or used similar but low-tech missiles. On this claim of Iran, experts believe that it does not have the capability to make these.
