He directed the officials to ensure that all necessary safety equipment like helmets, gloves, safety belts and insulated tools are present at the workplace during electrical works and their use should be ensured.

The Chief Minister has also sought answers in this regard from the senior officials of Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL). He said that it should be clarified how many safety equipment are currently available with the department.
