Uttarakhand: Family members of people trapped in Iran are sleepless, appeal to the government for help

The heat of the war between Iran and Israel has now reached Haridwar in Uttarakhand. In fact, many youths, women and children who went to Iran for the purpose of religious pilgrimage or Islamic studies from towns and villages like Tanda Bhandara and Jainpur Jhanjheri of Roorkee are stranded there amidst the war. Due to the air strikes being carried out by Israel in Iran, the airspace there has been completely closed. Along with this, the flights of planes have also been stopped, so the Indians stranded there are not able to return home.

It is worth noting that due to the air strikes in Iran, the airspace there has been completely closed. In these circumstances, there is silence in many houses of Haridwar district, due to which the family members are pleading with the government and the district administration for the safe return of their loved ones, although every moment a new apprehension is disturbing them. At the same time, Haridwar District Magistrate Mayur Dixit confirmed that we have received information about some people who are stranded in Iran.

He said that at present the department is investigating how many people from Haridwar district have gone to Iran, whether they are students or have gone on a religious trip or have gone for employment, as soon as this information becomes completely clear, the relevant report will be sent to the state government and the Home Ministry. The District Magistrate has assured that the Government of India and the State Government will provide all possible help in this crisis and all efforts will be made for the safe return of the stranded citizens.
