Uttarakhand: HRDA meeting, Haridwar-Roorkee master plan approved, freeze zone declared in two areas

The board meeting of Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority (HRDA) was held on Thursday, June 19, under the chairmanship of Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey. In the 84th meeting of HRDA, the master plan of Haridwar and Roorkee was approved. Along with this, maps will not be passed in two areas for the next one month.

While giving information about the HRDA meeting, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said that in the 84th board meeting, the master plan of Haridwar and Roorkee was approved, which will be published in the offices of all the officers of Haridwar and Roorkee.

He told that those who are not able to pay interest for 528 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have been given exemption till the next board meeting. He also told that complaints were being received from Shivalik Nagar and Bhupatwala area for a long time that some people are commercializing the buildings by getting residential maps passed. After this, it has been decided in the board meeting today that a freeze zone has been created in both the areas for one month.

The matter will be sent to the government in this regard. The government will take a decision on this matter. At present, no map will be passed for a month. Apart from this, it has also been decided in the meeting that some relaxation should be given in passing maps in rural and old densely populated areas, for which this matter will also be sent to the government.

Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said that if any person from Uttarakhand is also trapped in Iran, then the government will work to bring him back. The Government of India is already working to bring Indians trapped in Iran safely. The Government of India has a very clear opinion that if any Indian gets stuck in trouble abroad, he will be evacuated from there. When Indians got stranded in Ukraine, they were also evacuated from there. The government is also trying to evacuate Indians trapped in Iran. If any person from Uttarakhand is trapped in Iran, he will also be evacuated.
