Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Fulfilling the dreams of tribal friends, giving them new opportunities, reducing difficulties from their lives, is the priority of our government. The first scheme is ‘Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan’. It is named after Birsa Munda ji. Under this, development work is being done in more than 60,000 tribal villages across the country. Here in Odisha too, houses are being built for tribals, roads are being built, electricity and water facilities are being made. Here in 11 districts of Odisha, 40 residential schools are also being built. The central government is also spending hundreds of crores on this. The second scheme is named ‘PM Jan-Man Yojana’. The inspiration for this scheme has come from the land of Odisha. The country’s first tribal woman President, Honorable Draupadi Murmu, daughter of Odisha, has guided us for this scheme.
