The President of the country Draupadi Murmu is on a three-day visit to Uttarakhand. Today, 20 May is also Draupadi Murmu’s birthday. On this occasion, many programs have also been organized in Dehradun. Then in one program, President Draupadi Murmu suddenly became emotional and her tears came out.
Actually, on Friday, 20 May, a program was organized for President Draupadi Murmu inside NIEPVD (National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities) in the capital Dehradun. On this occasion, the children of NIEPVD sang in front of the President, then suddenly President Draupadi Murmu became emotional and she could not stop her tears.
When the children sang a song from Aamir Khan’s film Tare Zameen Par in Dehradun NIEPVD, the President as well as all the people sitting on the stage were mesmerized. At the end of the song, tears started flowing from the eyes of President Draupadi Murmu. But as soon as the children gave a presentation congratulating the President on his birthday, President Draupadi Murmu could not control herself and started crying on the stage.
Seeing President Draupadi Murmu getting emotional, the security personnel standing behind gave her a handkerchief. Seeing the program of the disabled children, not only the President, but also Union Minister Virendra Kumar and Governor Gurmeet Singh present on the stage got emotional. All these are children who cannot see properly. The President also honored them by putting glasses on their eyes.
The President said in his address that he is very impressed by the talent of these children
The way we are working for the disabled, its living example can be seen in Dehradun. I am very happy to be here on the occasion of my birthday. When I was watching the children singing, tears were not stopping from my eyes. These children were singing from the heart, not from the throat. I feel that Saraswati is sitting in their throat. It is said that if God gives any deficiency in someone’s body part, then he gives him such a talent, which makes him different from others.
-Draupadi Murmu, President-
At the same time, the President said in his address that how the disabled are treated in the society shows how that country or society is progressing. The President said that in the National Education Policy 2020, there is a provision for disabled children to get good education opportunities like other children. President Murmu, citing the example of Rashtrapati Bhavan, said that many steps have been taken there for the benefit of the disabled.
