Munir holds the key to power… Pakistan’s defense minister confessed the dark truth in front of the world

It is not hidden from anyone on whose orders the government of Pakistan works. Even though democracy is talked about in Pakistan and a pretense of holding general elections is made, despite this the army dominates in Pakistan and now this fact has come out openly in front of the world. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who is considered close to former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has accepted that the country is governed under a hybrid model. The hybrid model is one in which the government and the army together make policies for the country, but still the army has the reins of power in Pakistan.
Khwaja Asif has accepted the hybrid model in Pakistan for the second time. Analysts have long criticized this system and seen it as a fixed government serving subsidiary interests, not as a real power-sharing model. In an interview to Arab News, Khawaja Asif admitted that Sharif’s PML-N is working with the support of Pakistan’s army.
‘Hybrid government is running in Pakistan’
Khwaja Asif said, “This is a hybrid model. This is not an ideal democratic government. It is needed until Pakistan comes out of economic and governance problems. He further said, “If such a model had been there in 1990, then the turmoil in Pakistan’s politics and the situation of confrontation between the army could have been avoided.
Asif stressed that the only realistic option for PML-N and Sharif is to compromise with the army”. His statement came at a time when Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir met Donald Trump at the White House in the US. Asif described this meeting as the most important turning point in 78 years and said that it is the success of the hybrid model. Asif has described the hybrid model as a model in which both the civilian government and the army are involved.
‘Vote ko izzat do’ just a slogan
After adopting the hybrid model, PML-N’s famous slogan “Vote ko izzat do” remained just a slogan. Critics say that PML-N has joined the party with the army. Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan claimed that the biggest rigging took place in the general elections held on February 8. He accused PML-N and People’s Party of stealing the mandate. Dr. Rasool Bakhsh Rais said, now it has come out in the open that who has the real key to power in Pakistan? Who is running Pakistan Is it?
Dr Rais said that hybrid rule will return for the third time after Imran Khan’s ouster from power in 2022. General Ziaul Haq and General Pervez Musharraf, who formed new parties, have now handed themselves over to the army. Senior journalist Matiullah Jan posted on social media X that the Defense Minister who takes an oath to protect the Constitution talks about hybrid rule, while there is no mention of this system in the Constitution of Pakistan.
