The body of a missing shepherd has been found on a hill near Badrinath. Police suspect that the man died after falling from the hill. At present, the police have taken the body of the deceased into custody and sent it for postmortem.

According to the police, on June 22, Mukesh Negi, resident of Joshimath, had given a complaint in Badrinath police station. In which he told that his fellow shepherd Sunil Bhandari, son of Narendra, resident of Joshimath, had gone to the hill area 4-5 kilometers above Muchukund cave with his goats at 8 am, but did not return till evening.
Dead body found late at night from the hill
On receiving the information, the station in-charge, considering the seriousness of the matter, immediately started searching for Sunil with the police team and the SDRF team. At around 9 pm, the team went towards the spot through inaccessible paths. About 15 km ahead, at 2 o’clock late at night, they reached the possible area where Sunil was suspected to be.
Police suspected that he fell from the hill
During the search, the team found Sunil Bhandari lying dead at the spot. Prima facie, it appears that he died due to falling from the hill. Police reached Badrinath on Monday morning with the body of the deceased. Police sent the body of the deceased for post-mortem. Also, the investigation of the case is going on.
