Regarding the ceasefire, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on the social media platform X, “At present there is no ceasefire or agreement to stop military action.” However, he also said that if Israel stops its attacks on Iranian citizens by 4 am (Tehran time), then Iran will also not take any further retaliatory action. He further wrote, “Our next step will depend on whether Israel stops the attack or not. The final decision on stopping our military action will be taken later.”

At the same time, US President Donald Trump announced in a post on the social media platform Truth Social that an agreement has been reached on a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. He said, “In the next six hours, both countries will complete their current military missions. After this, Iran will start the ceasefire first and after 12 hours Israel will also join the ceasefire. The entire ceasefire will be implemented in 24 hours, after which this 12-day war will be considered over.
Trump made this appeal to both the countries
Trump has appealed to both the countries to maintain a peaceful and respectful attitude during this time. He said, “This was a conflict that could have lasted for a very long time and could have destroyed the entire region, but now that danger has been averted. I congratulate Iran and Israel for its peaceful solution.”
