Uttarakhand: High Court sent notice to Dehradun District Magistrate, know what is the matter

The High Court has directed the Dehradun District Magistrate to talk to the Junior Engineers (JEs) of three corporations including Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL). While hearing the PIL, the court on Monday issued a notice to the Dehradun District Magistrate and asked him to talk to the striking organization and submit a report.
The PIL filed by Dehradun resident Harshul Sharma was heard in a division bench of Chief Justice G. Narender and Justice Alok Mehra. The petitioner said that the JEs of the three corporations of UPCL have been on strike since June 5 over their demands. Till now the government has not talked to the strikers, due to which the public is suffering in the scorching heat.
People are forced to face problems in hospitals, schools and homes due to lack of electricity. While the Char Dham Yatra is also going on in the state. The petitioner demanded from the court that the state government should be directed to end the strike soon.
