The State Election Commission has postponed the nomination and further proceedings of Panchayat elections till the advance order of the High Court. The Election Commission has also issued an order in this regard on Tuesday.

The State Election Commission issued an order regarding the proposed three-tier Panchayat elections in Uttarakhand and said that now all the processes related to the elections, from nomination to further proceedings, are postponed till the advance order of the court. The Commission has taken this decision after the Nainital High Court maintained the ban on Panchayat elections.
