On June 23, at 4 pm, a landslide occurred at Nau Kainchi area near Bhairav ​​temple on the Yamunotri Dham footpath. During this, 5-6 devotees were buried under the debris. As soon as the information was received, the rescue team started searching for the devotees buried under the debris. By Monday evening, the rescue team recovered the bodies of the father and daughter.

Search for missing devotees continues

The deceased were identified as Harishankar (47), son of Omprakash, resident of Jaunpur and Khyati (9), daughter of Harishankar, resident of Jaunpur. While Rashik (60) son of Basram resident of Mumbai was rescued and taken to Jankichatti Hospital. The injured has been referred to a higher center after seeing his critical condition. The rescue operation has been started once again on Tuesday morning.
