Uttarakhand: Dhami government’s gift to democracy fighters, announced to increase Samman Nidhi

On the occasion of Constitution Hatya Diwas organized in Dehradun, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made many big announcements while honoring the democracy fighters and their families. CM Dhami has announced to increase the honor fund of democracy fighters.

CM Dhami said that the Emergency was like a dark chapter of democracy, but the democracy fighters protected the Constitution with their sacrifice and struggle. The government is now committed to solving their problems. The Chief Minister directed to simplify the process of Samman Nidhi, increase it and nominate a nodal officer at the government level for early disposal.

Act will be brought for the welfare of democracy fighters: CM
The CM said that the Act will be brought for the welfare of democracy fighters in the monsoon session. Every year their honor ceremony will be organized and certificates will also be given immediately. The CM also said that the decisions of a small state like Uttarakhand are now becoming a model for the whole country. Many democracy fighters including former Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari attended the program.
