Uttarakhand: Another body recovered from Rudraprayag Bus Accident, rescue operation for missing people continues
The entire state is terrified by the accident that took place at Gholthir on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway yesterday. Rescue operations are underway to search for the missing people. Out of the nine missing people, the body of one more has been recovered today. The rescue team recovered the body from the river bank near Ratuda. Eight people are still missing.
Rudraprayag Bus Accident: One more body recovered
So far, three people have died in this accident in the Alaknanda river. Today one more body has been recovered. Eight are injured and the same number are missing. Late last evening, District Magistrate Prateek Jain visited the hospital and met the injured.
Passengers were going to Badrinath Dham
Let us tell you that on Thursday at around 7 am, the guide and driver and 18 passengers were going from Rudraprayag to Badrinath Dham in a 31-seater bus. Meanwhile, the bus got hit near Gholthir and went out of control and fell into the Alaknanda river. In the accident, about 10 people including the driver were thrown into a ditch near the river. While the other people were swept away in the strong current of the river along with the vehicle.
Eight injured including two children
On getting information about the case, teams of Army, NDRF, ITBP, SDRF, Police, DDRF and District Disaster Management reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Let us tell you that three people have died in this accident so far. While eight injured people including two children were admitted to the hospital. Four seriously injured including the driver were sent to AIIMS Rishikesh.
