When the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra took place in Puri, Odisha today, the country’s famous industrialist Gautam Adani also joined it with his entire family. His wife Preeti Adani and son Karan Adani also arrived to participate in this grand religious event. The Adani family not only participated in the worship, but also took part in the service of preparing prasad for the Lord.
‘This Rath Yatra is a huge form of faith, service and unity’
Gautam Adani posted on the social media platform X and wrote, ‘I am blessed to have the privilege of seeing the divine Rath Yatra of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath ji. Seeing the Lord in person among the devotees is an experience of the culmination of humility, simplicity and compassion. This Rath Yatra is a huge form of faith, service and unity, which makes the mind, intellect and soul, all three, happy.
Witnessing this wonderful experience with millions of devotees on this holy land of Puri will always be included in the precious memories of my life. I heartily thank the state government, Puri administration and the thousands of dedicated service workers, due to whose dedication and discipline this event is being organized with such reverence and grandeur. May the blessings of Mahaprabhu always remain on India and Indians, including the holy state of Odisha.

Adani Group becomes the support of serving the devotees
This Rath Yatra of Puri is a big religious attraction not only for India but for the whole world, in which lakhs of devotees gather. During this nine-day festival, Adani Group is helping the devotees and the local administration at every level. This service campaign is being conducted on a large scale through the Adani Foundation, in which special arrangements have been made from food to security.
New scale of service
The Adani Group has pledged to distribute an estimated four crore food and beverages during this Rath Yatra, which will run from June 26 to July 8. Food centers have been set up at many places in Puri where devotees, volunteers and frontline workers are being given food and cold water for free. In view of the hot weather, special cold beverage stalls have also been set up at various places, so that the devotees can get relief from heat and heat.
Special arrangements for safety and convenience
Service is not limited to food only. The Adani Group has distributed fluorescent jackets to cleaning staff, T-shirts to volunteers and raincoats, caps and umbrellas to security forces and devotees. Apart from this, in collaboration with the Puri Beach Lifeguard Mahasangh, logistic support is also being provided to the lifeguards, so that the safety of the people coming to the beach can be ensured.
Service is being done in collaboration with local organizations and ISKCON
This entire service campaign is being run in collaboration with the Puri District Administration, ISKCON and local civil society organizations. Gautam Adani had earlier done similar service work during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, where he provided food distribution and facilities in collaboration with religious organizations and local bodies.
Adani family on the path of ‘Seva se Sadhna’
Gautam Adani also said on this occasion that, “We tried ‘Seva se Sadhna’ for the first time in Maha Kumbh. Today, in this grand journey of Jagannath Puri, we have resolved to take it further.” Through their presence in the Rath Yatra of Puri and their service work, the message is clear that now the corporate world is also actively participating in the confluence of faith and service.
