Himachal Pradesh: Non Himachalis are not eligible for JE and spokesperson recruitment, a gift to multi task workers

The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting was held on Saturday in Shimla under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Many major decisions have been taken in the meeting. Non-Himachalis will not be able to apply for recruitment to various posts including JE, School Spokesperson New in the state. The recruitment for these posts will be done not by the State Public Service Commission, but by the State Employees Selection Commission located in Hamirpur.

The state cabinet approved the reclassification of Level-11 pay scale posts from Group B to Group C. Under this decision, now only bonafide (permanent/original) Himachalis will be eligible to apply for Group C posts. Earlier, recruitment for these posts falling under Group B category was done through Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and candidates from all over the country could apply for these posts. Now their recruitment process will be done through Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission under the rules of Group C. Recruitment of 500 Pashu Mitras was also approved in the meeting.

Honorarium of multi-task workers increased, new scheme for farmers

The Cabinet approved to increase the monthly honorarium of about 5,000 multi-task workers working in the Public Works Department from Rs 5,000 to Rs 5,500. Apart from this, it was also decided to recruit 500 Pashu Mitras. The Cabinet decided to start the Milk Incentive Scheme for farmers supplying milk to non-government milk cooperatives. Under this, a subsidy of Rs 3 per liter will be given to milk producers through Direct Benefit Transfer and Direct Benefit Transfer i.e. DBT.

Tourism Development Corporation office will be shifted to Dharamshala, 101 posts will be filled in District Police Dehra

The Cabinet meeting approved the transfer of the headquarters of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) from Shimla to Dharamshala. This decision has been taken in view of Kangra being declared the tourism capital of Himachal. According to the Cabinet, this decision will help in reducing the pressure of crowd on Shimla city. In the meeting, the cabinet also approved creation and filling of 101 posts of various categories in the police lines of District Police Dehra.

Provision of interest subsidy for setting up solar energy projects

The state government has approved providing interest subsidy for setting up solar energy projects with the aim of encouraging self-employment and reducing dependence on traditional energy sources. Under this decision, five percent interest subsidy will be provided on projects of 100 kW to 1 MW in tribal areas, while 4 percent interest subsidy will be provided on projects of 250 kW to 2 MW in non-tribal areas.

500 kW solar power plants will be installed in 100 panchayats

The state cabinet also approved signing an MoU for setting up 500 kW solar power plants in 100 panchayats in collaboration with Him Energy. This decision is expected to generate an income of Rs 25 lakh per project per month. 30 percent of this income will go to Him Energy, 20 percent to the state government and 40 percent to the concerned Gram Panchayats. Additional 10 percent income will be given to the Panchayats for the welfare of orphans and widows. He said that the state government is working towards environmental protection as well as reducing carbon emissions by ensuring the use of green energy. Renewable energy is an inexhaustible energy source. By using this, the availability of energy for future generations is being ensured.

Decision to set up emergency response centers in panchayats

In the cabinet meeting, amid incidents of cloudburst and floods, the cabinet decided to set up emergency response centers in all 3,645 panchayats. Its objective is to ensure quick and effective response to protect life and property in case of natural disasters. Cabinet ministers Jagat Singh Negi and Yadavindra Goma gave information about the decisions of the cabinet.

Loss of Rs 300 crore so far in monsoon: Negi

So far, a loss of about Rs 300 crore has been incurred in the state during the monsoon season. Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi gave this information to the media while informing the media about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting on Saturday. He said that heavy rains during the monsoon have caused extensive damage in the state. According to the report received by the government, 17 people have died so far. 37 roads are closed and 47 transformers are out of order.
