The rescue operation for the search of the missing people in the bus accident in Gholtir area of Rudraprayag on Thursday is still going on today. Additional District Magistrate Shyam Singh Rana himself reached ground zero and led the rescue operation. So far, the bodies of five passengers have been recovered. While 7 people are still missing.
Rescue of missing passengers continues
The search operation is going on on Saturday as well in search of the missing devotees. The operation includes teams of Police, SDRF, NDRF, Water Police, DDRF and ITBP, who are searching from Gholtir to the lake of Srinagar Hydroelectric Project. After the accident, the administration had already formed six teams, but in view of the seriousness of the incident, the number of teams has been increased, so that the speed of the search operation can be further increased.
Success in search operation
Under the search operation, a body has been found in the Chauras Dam area of Srinagar Hydroelectric Project on Saturday. SP Rudraprayag Akshay Prahlad Konde said that the body found in Srinagar/Kirtinagar Dam has been identified as Mouli Soni (19) resident of Gujarat. Prahlad Konde said that so far 5 bodies have been found during the search operation, while a search operation is being conducted within a radius of 15 kilometers to find 7 people.
