Red alert for rain in Uttarakhand, Meteorological Department issued warning for these districts

The weather will wreak havoc in Uttarakhand today. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rains are likely in most parts of the state today. In such a situation, scientists have issued a red alert for rain.

According to the forecast issued by the Director of Meteorological Department Vikram Singh, heavy to very heavy rains are likely in Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts on June 29. In view of which the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts.
Possibility of landslides in sensitive areas of Uttarakhand
If meteorologists are to be believed, the weather in the state will remain bad till July 1. Due to which the water level of the rivers will increase. In such a situation, people living on the banks of the rivers have been advised to be cautious. Along with this, the possibility of landslides in sensitive areas has also been expressed. According to the weather department, rain havoc will be seen in most parts of the state in the coming three days.
