Due to the overflowing of the rain drain of Sal forest, Bhaniyawala main market and national highway got completely submerged. Due to which the traffic was disrupted for hours. Many two wheeler riders fell into the water. Somehow they were saved.
On the other hand, due to the overflowing of the rain drain of Dehradun airport, many houses and shops of Chorpulia and Athurawala got flooded. Due to the overflowing of the drain, the rear gate of the airport was opened. Due to which the situation became even worse.

Due to the heavy rains in the area since last night, damage has been reported at many places. Water entered dozens of shops and houses in Bhaniawala main market. Traffic crawled for hours.

The JCB and workers of the municipality reached the spot and tried to reduce the water by removing the debris. On the other hand, there was chaos as water entered the houses around the airport.

At the same time, a warning of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in seven districts of the state from today for the next three days. While there are chances of heavy rain in many other districts as well. Director of Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said that from June 29 to July 1, a red alert for heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in some areas of Doon including Tehri, Pauri, Champawat, Haridwar, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts.

Whereas, an alert for several rounds of heavy rain has been issued in some parts of Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts.
