The continuous rain in Uttarakhand has now started knocking the door of danger. National Highway-309 connecting Ramnagar to Kumaon and Garhwal is once again facing the brunt of rain. Due to heavy rain on Sunday morning, Dhangadhi Nala overflowed. In no time, the traffic passing through here came to a complete halt.
Rain increased troubles again
Like every year, this time also Dhangadhi Nala has increased the trouble of the local people. Local people say that even in a slight heavy rain, this drain takes a dangerous form and the daily movement of people gets affected. Let us tell you that hundreds of vehicles passing through this route are stuck on both sides.
Dhangadhi Nala overflows in Ramnagar
The situation was no different in Dhikuli Nala. Here after heavy rain, the water level of the drain suddenly increased and a long jam occurred for more than half an hour. Many vehicles got stuck in the middle of the way, due to which the police had to reach the spot and take charge.
Administration team reached the spot
As soon as the information was received, Tehsildar Manisha Markhana reached the spot and took stock of the situation. She said that the administration is alert. Police teams have been deployed at the incident sites. The situation is being constantly monitored and as soon as the water level of the drains decreases, action will be taken to open the roads.
NH-309 connects Ramnagar to Almora, Ranikhet and Nainital
It is worth noting that NH-309 connects Ramnagar to major tourist destinations like Almora, Ranikhet and Nainital.
