Kolkata Police has made a big disclosure in the case of gang-rape of a student in a law college. Police say that this incident was completely pre-planned. These youths targeted the law student with a complete plan. News agency PTI quoted Kolkata Police officials as saying that this entire matter was already planned. The three were plotting to carry out this incident with the victim for several days. The main accused had targeted the victim from the very first day of her admission in the college. A TMC leader is the accused in the present case, due to which BJP is also attacking the Mamata Banerjee government.

Police suspects video of the incident

Looking at the seriousness of the matter, the Bengal government has formed a nine-member SIT for investigation. According to the PTI report, the SIT found that the three accused Monojit Mishra, Pratim Mukherjee and Zaid Ahmed have previously sexually harassed other girl students of the same college. The fourth accused in the case is the security guard of the college. The three accused used to record such incidents on their mobile phones and later blackmail the victims using the footage. The Kolkata Police is now looking for mobile videos that were possibly recorded by the accused.

According to the Kolkata Police, searches were conducted at the residences of accused Mukherjee and Ahmed on Sunday. Investigators also believe that a video clip of the June 25 incident may have been shared. Police told PTI that we are trying to find out whether those clips were shared with any other group. We have to contact those who found it. The SIT has prepared a list of more than 25 people who were present in the college on the evening of June 25. All these people will be questioned. The incident took place at South Calcutta Law College.
