Chardham Yatra resumed: Uttarakhand has been facing heavy rains, landslides and floods for the last several days. In view of this natural disaster, the Chardham Yatra was banned on June 29. Only 24 hours had passed since this ban and the Chardham Yatra has been resumed. The surprising thing is that the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert regarding bad weather i.e. very heavy rain in Uttarakhand. In view of the red alert, a one-day holiday has been declared today in all educational institutions and Anganwadi centers from class 1 to 12 in Uttarakhand to avoid any possible danger. This instruction has been given by Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman. The Meteorological Department says that there will be rain ranging from 7 to 20 cm.
There is a red alert for heavy rain in Uttarakhand: On the other hand, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey has lifted the ban on the Chardham Yatra. The Chardham Yatra was stopped on June 29 due to bad weather and frequent landslides. Within 24 hours of this ban, the Chardham Yatra has been started again. The Garhwal Commissioner has instructed the District Magistrates to take a decision regarding the journey in their districts on the basis of weather. If they feel that the weather is not right for the journey, then they can impose a ban. Along with this, Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey has given instructions to make arrangements for pilgrims to stay at safe places during bad weather.
Chardham is in these three districts: It is worth noting that the famous Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand is going on at this time. The Chardham Yatra is of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Yamunotri and Gangotri temples are in Uttarkashi, a border district of Uttarakhand in the country. Kedarnath Dham temple is in Rudraprayag district. Badrinath Dham is in Chamoli district. All three are hill districts. It is raining heavily here these days. Due to the rain, landslides are happening at many places and on the other hand, rivers, streams and rivulets are in spate. Along with the Chief Minister, the Meteorological Department is also constantly appealing to the local people and pilgrims to be cautious.
