Central government angry over ignoring protocol, government sought clarification from Dehradun DM

The non-compliance of protocol during Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s visit to Dehradun on June 12 can now increase problems for the district administration. The Protocol Department of the Uttarakhand Government has considered this matter serious and has sought an explanation from Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal.

In the letter sent by the Protocol Department to the DM, it has been said that the Lok Sabha Secretariat has complained that during the visit, the Lok Sabha Speaker neither got the prescribed respect nor the etiquette standards were properly followed. Regarding this, the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions of the Central Government had also issued a letter on June 19 and expressed concern in this regard.
The government sought clarification from Dehradun DM
It has been said in the complaint that when an attempt was made to contact the District Magistrate during the visit of the Lok Sabha Speaker, no answer was received from him. The government has taken it seriously considering it as administrative negligence and has sought a clear answer from the DM on the entire incident. The government has also made it clear that such lapses will not be tolerated in future.
