Uttarakhand / Pauri: Strictness on stray animals, DM gave instructions to identify the owners and take challan action

Pauri District Magistrate Swati S. Bhadoria conducted a comprehensive inspection of Srinagar city area on Tuesday and checked the reality of the arrangements and issued several important instructions. During the inspection, she visited the Gaushala, Animal Birth Control Center under construction, Ganga Sanskriti Kendra, Alkeshwar Ghat, Srinagar Tehsil and Chardham Yatra Control Room.
DM gave instructions to deploy a veterinary doctor
During the inspection of the Gaushala and Animal Birth Control Center, the DM clearly said that the care of animals and sterilization work should be made smooth as per the guidelines. The DM instructed the Municipal Corporation to complete the process of purchasing necessary equipment till the building is ready. Along with this, orders were also given to deploy a veterinary doctor by the Animal Husbandry Department on an immediate basis.
Instructions given to take action against the owners of tagged animals
DM Swati S. Bhadoria directed the Chief Veterinary Officer to identify the owners of tagged animals and ensure challan action against them to control stray animals. She also indicated strictness on leaving animals in the open at the village level.
DM inspected the Chardham Yatra control room
During the inspection of the Chardham Yatra control room, the DM expressed displeasure when the phone was found switched off and instructed the sub-district magistrate to immediately repair the phone line. The DM clarified that the work of the employees is not only to receive calls but also to collect information about rainfall, water level etc. from the regional officials.
