Former Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who spewed venom against India, has softened his stance. Bilawal Bhutto on Wednesday (July 2, 2025) has demanded India to join the fight against terrorism. India has been demanding Pakistan to take action against terrorists for a long time, but it used to shrug it off every time.

At an international conference organized at the Islamabad Policy Research Institute, Bilawal Bhutto said that we are ready to build a historic and unprecedented partnership with India to fight terrorism. He stressed that India-Pakistan are not opposed to each other.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that India and Pakistan should remain neighbors and should come forward to save people from terrorists. Bilawal Bhutto had used harsh words against India many times due to the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, but now he is folding his hands in front of India for the resolution of all pending disputes.

Regarding the Indus Water Treaty, he said that water should not be made a weapon and the foundation of peace as strong as the Himalayas should be laid. He said, “Returning to the shared heritage of the Indus Valley Civilization is not a weakness, but a vision. This is not just a local or regional crisis, but a global challenge.”

Bilawal Bhutto targeted the Taliban and said, “We saved Kabul and now the Afghan Taliban should fulfill its responsibility. It will have to stop the smuggling of weapons, stop the movement of terrorists.”

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, India had taken many big decisions including suspending the Indus Water Treaty, due to which Pakistan got furious and canceled the Shimla Agreement. After India’s action, Bilawal Bhutto had said that either water or their blood will flow in Indus.
